LA Opera Kicks Off 40th Season with West Side Story
LA Opera opens its 40th anniversary season this September at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with a landmark production of West Side Story.
Music Director James Conlon launches his 20th and final season with the company by conducting its long-awaited premiere of the Bernstein–Sondheim classic. Featuring Jerome Robbins’ original choreography, the production stars Gabriella Reyes as Maria and Duke Kim as Tony.
On September 27, 2025, LA Opera is set to present “West Side Story” live in high-definition video from nine cameras at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to large LED screens at Altadena’s Loma Alta Park and at the Santa Monica Pier.
